The Association of National Advertisers leads the marketing community by providing its members insights, collaboration and advocacy. ANA’s membership includes 400 companies with 9,000 brands that collectively spend over $100 billion in marketing communications and advertising. The ANA strives to communicate marketing best practices, lead industry initiatives, influence industry practices, manage industry affairs and advance, promote and protect all advertisers and marketers.
The Association of National Advertisers (ANA), located in Mid-town Manhattan, is seeking the following:
Senior Manager, Committees
Location: New York, NY
Overview
Committees
The mission of ANA "marketing & media" committees is simple: to advance the marketing knowledge of ANA members and provide access to peer-to-peer networking. ANA committees offer members a forum for sharing best practices, peer-to-peer networking / benchmarking, the ability to learn about new industry developments through the exchange of ideas with guest speakers and fellow committee members, and a “voice” to advocate on behalf of industry issues. There are twenty ANA committees and this senior manager position would have the responsibility for managing four to six committees and assisting on a handful of others. More at www.ana.net/committees
Webinars
In 2010, ANA will launch an ongoing series of “Webinar Wednesdays” (40-45 weeks a year). Some webinars will originate from committee meetings and others will originate from other ANA groups. This position will serve as a “central coordinator” within ANA for the webinar series.
ANA Sponsorship Management
Sponsors provide an important source of revenue to ANA as they help offset costs for meals and other out-of-pocket expenses, primarily at ANA conferences. In 2010 ANA will be working with fewer sponsors but those relationships will be deeper and on-going. This position will serve as “account manager” on three or four of those sponsor relationships.
Social Networking
ANA is ramping-up its community/social networking offerings and this position will likely have a role in coordinating these activities. This position essentially offers an advanced graduate degree in marketing, providing the opportunity to learn about the multiple facets of advertising, media, and marketing from some of the best and brightest minds in the business.
Requirements
Hands-on, service oriented attitude a must. Strong writing and people skills also are essential. Ability to multitask and handle simultaneous projects is critical.
